Parking
December Concert
The Bethel Lutheran parking lot has a limit of roughly 67 cars including 4 accessible parking spots. The parking lot is free to use for our patrons. The entrance to Bethel’s parking lot is off of Gorham St, which is one-way heading southwest (towards UW Madison). If you are arriving from the south or west, you will drive past the church on Johnson, turn left on Wisconsin, turn left on Gorham, and turn left into the parking lot.
We also encourage our patrons to consider taking the Metro Transit or use other ride sharing services. Metro Transit offers half price fares to youths, seniors and those with disabilities.
Parking Garages/Lots
There are a few parking garages/lots that near Bethel Lutheran that are controlled by the city of Madison. Sometimes their rates vary depending on if there are major events happening downtown Madison (learn more about that on their website). Below are the lots listed in order of proximity to Bethel Lutheran.
- (0.1 miles) State Street Parking – 214 N. Carrol St., Madison, WI
- (0.2 miles) Buckeye Parking Lot – 214 W. Gorham St., Madison, WI
- This is a relatively small lot and is generally full.
- (0.3 miles) Overture Center Garage – 318 W. Mifflin St., Madison, WI
- $10 special event parking due to the Nutcracker at the Overture
- (0.4 miles) Capitol Square North Garage – 218 E. Mifflin St., Madison, WI
Street Parking
The city of Madison manages street parking and provides an extensive map of their metered parking spots as well as their non-metered parking. Parking Enforcement happens Monday-Saturday from 8am-6pm. Visit their website to learn more: City of Madison Street Parking.
February & May Concerts
There is on-site parking at First Unitarian Society (FUS), though it is a small lot. FUS also has a great website that shares where you can park nearby:
